David Brottman, MD (Dr. B) is the CEO at BrottmanMD Inc. Prior to the creation of BrottmanMD, Dr. B was the CEO and cofounder of Arlington Pediatrics Ltd. He has worked in the healthcare industry for 35+ years. He is an award-winning clinician, entrepreneur, innovator and educator. Since his retirement as a clinician, Dr. B was a High School healthcare science teacher both in Chicago and in Georgia and an instructor at the Agnes Scott College Post-bac premedical program and currently serves as a Professor of Clinical Instruction at the Mercer University College of Medicine. Dr. Brottman is compelled to help students and their families see the reality of healthcare professions and to provide these students with the necessary foundation to become successful healthcare providers.
Dr. B, as the CEO of BrottmanMD, is on a mission to promote the development of excellent future physicians. He is focused on improving premedical education and creating transformative lectures and programs that are meaningful, productive and affordable. Dr. Brottman is committed to create opportunities to help all students, with or without financial means, to achieve success in healthcare. He is a provider of both hard skills and soft skills training and acts as a lifelong mentor to countless former patients and students.
Dr. B has founded a number of different organizations to advance the causes of children, including Just Hang It Up (a youth led organization to end distracted driving), The Breastfeeding Center of Chicago (to increase breastfeeding rates for infants at 6 months of age) and has sponsored numerous internships for High School and college students at his practice. Dr Brottman is also a Licensed Stop the Bleed educator.
Dr. B has a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Illinois, Medical Doctorate degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and received his residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
In his spare time Dr. B enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in home improvement projects, cooking and playing tennis.
